Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan today in Hà Nội hosted a reception for Mr. Gary Schutz, Co-Chairman of the Việt Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD).
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said he hoped the Council would realize its action plan on four top priorities including energy, climate change, education, and environment protection by the year end.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan also suggested that the Council should early establish working groups for enterprise members to share experience, put forth pilot initiatives, and expand cooperative models.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his belief that the Council would make practice contributions to further improve investment environment in Việt Nam towards environmentally-friendly trend.
Mr. Gary Shutz said that sustainable development would benefit the community socially and economically and maitain Việt Nam as a competitive market in the long term, noting that he will work on initiatives for sustainable development in Việt Nam.
The Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) was launched on December 17, 2010, following a four-year partnership between the Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) to promote sustainable development in the host country.
