Japan is willing to assist Việt Nam in training medical staffs, said Acting President of the Japanese Democratic Party Seongoku Yoshito while meeting with Deputy PM Nguyễn Thiện Nhân on October 24.

Mr. Seongoku Yoshito also said Japan wished to support the Southeast Asian country in developing a nuclear power plant, and in building a university specializing in high tech and auxiliary industries.
He took the occasion to thank Việt Nam’s assistance to Japanese victims of the twin natural disasters-earthquake and tsunami.
Deputy PM Nhân hoped that Japan would continue its support for Việt Nam in perfecting market economy mechanisms, heightening workforce quality, developing infrastructure to accelerate economic restructuring and growth model renovation.
The Deputy PM asked the Japanese side to recognize Việt Nam’s market economy status.
